OUR TESTIMONIALS

Nothing but good words from our students' parents

“I have set out to look for a school which has a loving environment and holistic approach towards education i.e. not merely focusing on academic excellency but also character building, manners and being socially-minded. I found them in Purple Train.”

“I have 2 boys in Purple Train. Daylon started at 2 and a half years old in playgroup and is presently in K1. Darryl is in playground playgroup now. Having the boys in Purple Train has been one of the best decisions in our lives. My boys are very happy in school. They are enjoying themselves while learning, which is important to us. We have seen our boys becoming more confident of themselves and able to express their feelings and thoughts more eloquently as each day goes by. I have set out to look for a school which has a loving environment and holistic approach towards education i.e. not merely focusing on academic excellency but also character building, manners and being socially-minded. I found them in Purple Train. Thanks to Lakshmi, the founder and her team of marvelous teachers for their hard work and dedication. Thumbs up to the broad-based curriculum, interesting project works, unforgettable parties and diverse excursions, which provided the children with well-rounded exposures. Most importantly, they give so much love and encouragement to the children in my opinion that makes the world of difference.”

“Nurul Syafiqah Heah Jia Wen joined The Purple Train in January 2009 and graduated in December 2009. We heard of The Purple Train from my husband’s friend whose child was also a student here. Hearing out his recommendations, we decided to visit the school to get to know more. After the meeting with Mrs Lakshmi, the school principal, we decided to enroll Syafiqah at The Purple Train as we found the Montessori programme more suitable for her. During Syafiqah’s Graduation Concert, we were very surprised and amazed at her sketch performance and dance! She enjoyed learning at The Purple Train very much. Now that she’s in Primary 1, the feedbacks from her school teachers were very encouraging. She understood the lessons taught and requires less supervision. She’s now gradually trying to open-up herself to talk to her form teacher. We are confident that we made the right choice in sending her to The Purple Train and we could see the improvements she has made. My son, Syafiq, also joined The Purple Train in January 2009 till present. We enrolled him as we found that the Montessori Programme suited him best, based on his learning abilities. The Principal and all the teachers are very dedicated and focused to meet the learning objectives. After a year at The Purple Train, we could see the significant change in our child’s learning journey and he too loves to go to school!” We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Principal, Ms Lakshmi, teachers, Ms Sarah Jane, Ms Mai and Ms Lim, and also other teachers who directly or indirectly interacted with her during her learning years at The Purple Train. A million thanks to all of you. Well done everyone!”

Thanks to a team of passionate and patient teachers. She took less than a week to settle down and she likes school since then. We like the holistic program offered by the school, especially the Positive Focus, Speech and Drama and Thematic lessons. Through these programs, she exudes confidence in and outside the school. The school gives her a good headstart in Chinese as they learn a lot through singing and games. We like the fact that the kids do not wear uniform. They get to wear home clothes and every morning, the school is like a colourful kaleidoscope. This creates a very cheerful and positive atmosphere and my daughter looks forward to school every day.”[/ultimate_modal]

“Our son who ‘graduated’ from Purple Train last year is a well-adjusted boy in Primary 1 now who loves school and learning. We couldn’t have asked for more.”

Their natural ability of wanting to communicate, be creative and curious has somehow been curtailed, rather than nurtured by their pre-school experience. So, when it was time to find a playgroup and kindergarten for our children, we were rather anxious. But, we are so glad that we found Purple Train! This pre-school in the heart of Woodlands is one that has balanced curriculum that enhances the child’s natural abilities. The caring and passionate teachers pay as much attention to the social-emotional growth of our children as their cognitive growth. Our children’s interest in the world around them is piqued by the various activities and daily interactions with their teachers. Our son who ‘graduated’ from Purple Train last year is a well-adjusted boy in Primary 1 now who loves school and learning. We couldn’t have asked for more. Our two daughters who are currently still learning at Purple Train enjoy school so much, that when we ask them every night what the best part of their day was… their answer is always Schoooool!”[/ultimate_modal]

Our child Shavinya Nathan has learnt so much and developed as a confident child since attending The Purple Train.

It is the quality care the preschool provides that makes it a special place. Such as when you arrive to fetch your child the staff make time to tell you the little details about your child´s day. Mrs Lakshmi and her wonderful staff make each and every child feel special and unique whilst providing them with the special and academic skills needed as they make the transition from preschool to primary school. This is exactly what we as parents want for our children.

The genuine affection and concern that the staff show the children at the school truly make The Purple Train Learning Station a child´s ‘home away from home’. We know it is rare to find a preschool with all these outstanding qualities which we cannot recommend The Purple Train Learning Station enough to friends, family and anyone who wants a wonderful caring and nurturing learning environment for their child.[/ultimate_modal]
